The ASG line of electric guitars features custom contoured, solid alder bodies, and are equipped with nickel hardware, and high-output alnico magnet pickups. All Alvarez electric guitars feature reverse wound center pickups for hum cancellation, and a unique tone compensation circuit which maintains high frequencies when the volume control is turned down.

The ASG Model 2 features a vintage profile maple neck with a 21 fret, rosewood fingerboard. Also included, the Wilkinson vibrato bridge delivers balanced, articulate tone along with optimum tuning stability. Neck and center single coil pickups are matched with a bridge position humbucker, which automatically spits to a single coil when combined with the center pickup.
